Spinach – Why do I Love It So Much?

I was reading an article the other day about my beloved spinach. Don’t ask me why. I think I was having a bored moment. Did you know that spinach¬†originally comes from Persia? By the 12th century, it spread across Europe and became a desirable leafy green known for good health.
That’s music to my ears, because like Popeye, I love spinach. I use it in any dish I can. It may not give me the same kind of strength, but it sure does make me feel good when I’m chewing on the scrumptious leaves.

Nutrients in Spinach

It is well known for its nutritional qualities and has always been regarded as a plant with remarkable abilities to restore energy, increase vitality and improve the quality of the blood.

Out of all the green leaves, spinach is my favourite, not just because of all it’s nutritional benefits, but because I love the way it tastes. I like to make a sweet potato and creamy spinach pie. Sometimes I add chicken cubes or bacon strips. It goes down a treat every time.

Spinach does to me what doughnuts do to Homer Simpson lol. What’s your favourite vegetable?
